Okay, so I finally gave up on the scanner. *stupid thing!!* Trying a new way - computer art. I'll see how long I can keep this way up...
Keeping the Faith...
So I still have some faith that ONE DAY that darn scanner shall work! It shall! I cant seem to figure out what is wrong with it, my dad says he sees nothing wrong. Yet it dont work...
I'm now working on characters from my stories, mainly profile pictures with some sort of backround to identify them with.
As soon as that scanner gets up, I'll have dozens of sketches to put up. Really, isnt it bad enough that I dont have my precious photoshop that I've wanted for like...ever? Now I cant even have a WORKING scanner? :(
But it shall work...
Inspiration
Now I really need to get my scanner up and going! I went to a camp training retreat over the weekend - without a camera. So now I've been drawing to the best of my ability the people that I met there. So far, I've only finished one. He was the easiest because I was around him all the time and he resembled my Uncle. :)
I'm not good with drawing bald people though, as I am learning...
I am halfway through my second notebook. I've been drawing for a little over a month now, so I consider that well done. I just want to get them out of the notebook and on to here where others may see them! Especially the ones from my stories...:D
Scanner Needed
I've finally got to the point where I'm good enough to be willing to share my sketches, and what happens? My scanner mysteriously breaks. Well, it's not broke, but it says it's disconnected when everything is connected. So now I got to wait and sit idylly and wait for it to get fixed. And, of course, keep practicing.
I really want to get good. Both my mother and my older brother could draw and sketch amazingly. Their works were beautiful, and I still have a few things that lasted through the years, since they have both long stopped doing so. All I've wanted was to be able to draw like them. I remember being terribly jealous when I was youn
